Summary

There is a very low likelihood that periods of persistent & heavy rain from Wednesday could result in significant flooding across central and northeast Scotland. Persistent rain is expected to continue until Friday. On Wednesday, strong winds and high waves at the coast throughout the southeast of the country could also cause isolated spray and wave overtopping however this is not currently expected to be impactful.
